Jane Packman Company – A Thousand Shards Of Glass

Jane Packman Company are bringing their new performance A Thousand Shards of Glass to @ AE Harris for three pop-up performances, 21-23 March.

A Thousand Shards of Glass is a fast-paced intimate/epic adventure story, using words and sound to conjure a vivid world and provoke your imagination.

In a world where nothing seems real, everything’s a distraction and actions no longer matter, a young woman sets out on a preposterous mission – to change things for the better…

It’s an excuse for a helicopter sequence. It’s about going on a mission and getting back home.

On Wednesday 21st March – for one night only! – we’re excited to be joined by Tassos Stevens (from Coney) performing his playful storytelling show Jimmy Stewart, An Anthropologist From Mars, Analyses Love And Happiness In Humans (And Rabbits).

He says, “I’m playing a Martian Jimmy Stewart on a quest to understand love. You’re the audience playing the planet Earth entirely from a sitting position with drink in hand (if you like). This is a piece of playful storytelling with an impossible sound system. It’s played theatres, living rooms, lecture theatres, pubs, and parks: across the planet Earth. It’s about the imperial unit of measurement of human feeling, a man who falls to Earth, and at least three other impossible things. And there’s the odd joke.”

We haven’t seen this yet, but we reckon it’ll be a treat!

PERFORMANCES: The performances take place Wednesday 21st – Friday 23rd March 2012 at 7:45pm @AEHarris, 110 Northwood Street, Birmingham, B3 1SZ

BOX OFFICE: Tickets can be booked on 0845 680 1926 or online at www.oxboffice.com (Wednesday £12, Thursday & Friday £8). There is LIMITED CAPACITY for these shows – to avoid dissapointment we recommend booking in advance!
