I Like Theatre is an initiative to help people who enjoy going to the theatre go more often. It’s common that after a great sociable night at the theatre people say “we should do this more often”. Now I like Theatre is here to help that happen in the simplest way imaginable.

New Year is coming and with it the I Like Theatre Resolution Card. People who like theatre are encouraged to promise themselves that they will attend three or six times each year. There are extra challenges to help them get more from their visits, such as taking friends and sharing opinions on the shows.

The card is self-contained, no one checks up on you (though you can ask to be reminded of your resolution via email) and the reward is simply doing more of what you enjoy. At then end of the year those who have completed their pledges will be invited to the West Midlands Theatre Awards, a novel ceremony will reflect the initiative’s broad inclusive approach to this highly social art form.

I Like Theatre resolution cards can be picked up at participating theatres or downloaded from www.iliketheatre.co.uk. This site also carries Facebook and Twitter feeds from venues promoting what is coming up and feedback from audiences as to what they have enjoyed.
