Vanessa Oakes – George Eliot Residency Update
Since May Vanessa has sought high and low for George meeting some fascinating people/characters along the way (not forgetting Vernon – Museum Collection Software System).
Over the Summer she has travelled through George Eliot Country on a 1929 Charabanc (Shar-a-bang) http://desperatelyseekinggeorge.wordpress.com/2011/05/22/the-fabulous-fellowship/ rambled around Red Deeps http://desperatelyseekinggeorge.wordpress.com/2011/06/26/a-sunday-afternoon-walk/ and finally tracked down Dinah Morris/Bede in Wirksworth http://desperatelyseekinggeorge.wordpress.com/2011/07/30/known-to-the-world-as-dinah-bede/
The 65 posts on the blog so far have generated 202 comments and 3,389 views, with people in
the USA, Germany, Scotland, Staffordshire, Lancashire, East Sussex, Yorkshire, Northampton, Southampton, Birmingham, London as well as Coventry & Warwickshire receiving copies of her books.
